Ratings: Broadcast Finals for March 10, 2014
The season finale of THE BACHELOR not only posted it's best ratings of the season, it caused havoc on CBS and NBC.
The reality series pulled in 10.1 million viewers and a 3.3 in Adults 18-49, again, the best of the season. But it pushed CBS way down on the night, down a million viewers and 24% in the demo ratings. The numbers for the four sitcoms almost look like repeat numbers, not original episode numbers. Over on NBC, THE VOICE took losses of 2 million viewers and 18% in the demo. This was easily THE VOICE's worst numbers of the season.
AFTER THE ROSE special did a nice job of increasing the numbers for ABC, posting the top number in the A18-49 ratings, on the night. ABC has had a pretty good 10 days. With THE OSCARS pulling in recod numbers and RESURRECTION getting off to a very strong start, the previous night. Things look like they could be turning the corner for the 4th place network.
Getting a special night, series premiere, BELIEVE was well sampled, after THE VOICE. the 10.6 million viewers and 2.7 demo rating are off from what THE BLACKLIST pulls in the time slot, but this was the best spot to launch a new series.
Over on FOX, BONES returned to Monday nights and ratings are just as they were when it left. Given the heated competition, the ratings are good for the 9 year old series.
