Weekly Twitter TV Ratings: Feb 17 - 23, 2014

THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON got off to a very social start as the first two night's placed 5th and 7th, respectively, in this week's Twitter TV Ratings. Between the two nights, Fallon's TONIGHT SHOW averaged 2.34 million unique twitter accounts and nearly 110,000 tweets each of the two nights. That bested AMERICAN IDOL for the week.

THE WALKING DEAD was still the top program of the week, but PRETTY LITTLE LIARS made a strong run at the drama, coming to with in 830,000 unique accounts. However, the 4.43 million unique audience members is nearly two million more that those that watched the show itself. That always sends up a red flag for me that the twitter reach is not as great as it appears to be, but is built by distant associations and followings that are not even watching the show.
