Ratings: Broadcast Finals for February 14, 2014

It was an all repeat Friday, except for day nine of the Sochi Winter Olympics. The NBC televised event drew a games low 19.1 million viewers and a 4.5 rating in Adults 18-49. This is the third night, so far, to draw under 21 million viewers. I would have thought ratings would have been a bit higher, given the weather conditions in the eastern half of the US.

ABC gave us the holiday special BE MY VALENTINE CHARLIE BROWN, which drew marginal ratings of just 3.9 million viewers. Given the Olympics going on, tha numbers are not too horrible, perhaps better than encore episodes of the Friday night sitcoms.

The CW saw a slight rise in Friday night viewership with repeat episodes of the revived WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY. It's average is at or better the top numbers THE CARRIE DIARIES would draw with original episodes. I can easily see The CW make Friday Night's more Kid or Family friendly, with games and fun reality programs.
