Ratings: Broadcast Finals for February 4, 2014

With all five networks back in Tuesday night originals, CBS easily swept the night with its three crime dramas. NCIS was once again the most watched and highest rated program of the night, but tte surprise of the night is the great retention rate by NCIS: LA. The spin-off lost just 10% of the A18-49 audience, when it usually drops twice as much. This may be a one time thing, but NCIS: LA needs to be ready to hold it's own as another NCIS spin-off is in the works.

Not looking so good is NEW GIRL and BROOKLYN NINE-NINE. After a huge sampling after the Super Bowl, the two comedies reverted right back to the low ratings it gets in it;s regular time slots. I didn't expect a huge bump in the ratings, but you would have expected some growth after the exposure.

Closing out its season, on NBC, was the reality series THE BIGGEST LOSER. The two hour finale drew 7.45 million viewers and a 2.2 demo ratings. That is a season high in viewers and a the second best ratings in the A18-49 numbers.
