Primetime Cable Ratings: January 31, 2014

GOLD RUSH was once again the #1 show on Friday night, grabbing 4.5 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up slightly from the previous week's numbers. The reality series out performed seven shows on the broadcast networks, in the A18-49 ratings, and drew a larger audience than six shows. Would a series like GOLD RUSH dow well on a broadcast network?

ESPN NBA Basketball did well, placing seventh with 1.7 million viewers. Usually NBA games don't rank in the top ten of the night, unless it is a high profile match up with an NBA championship team or larger market, being represented.
