Preliminary Ratings: February 13, 2014

The Winter Olympics bounced up 10% from Wednesday's primetime coverage, drawing just under 23 million viewers. The numbers are starting to drop as the event progresses. Things should perk up when the ladies take to the ice for individual figure skating events and when team USA god for a medal in ice hockey.

Who would have thought a repeat of THE BIG BANG THEORY would draw more viewers than a new episode of AMERICAN IDOL, let alone nearly tie it in the A18-49 ratings? The sitcom drew about two million more viewers and posted a 2.8 demo rating. It was the second most watched program on the night. In fact outside of AMERICAN IDOL, CBS had the most watched shows, after the Olympic games.

Consider RAKE a dead series. Just 4 million viewers watched it last night. That is a loss of 60% of the audience from AI. If FOX doesn't just let it run, I can see them announcing the cancellation after next week's episode.
