How big is the Super Bowl to the Networks? Well, despite having a very lack-luster fall season, the most watched TV event of the year helped move FOX ahead of NBC for the lead in the A18-49 demographic ratings. That lead will not last more than a week, two at the most, as NBC is on the eve of airing 17 days of the Winter Olympics, from Russia.

Super Bowl 48 became the most watched TV programing US history, as it drew 112.9 million viewers and a 39.3 rating in Adults 18-49. FOX took four of the top five spots with it's Super Sunday line up, as the post-game show placed 2nd, NEW GIRL finished 3rd and BROOKLYN NINE-NINE placed 5th. In total, FOX had six top 30 programs.

CBS was easily the #2 network of the week as it pushed 17 shows into the top 30. With the State Of the Union address on Tuesday night, it allowed BLUE BLOODS to go past a repeat of NCIS as the top drama program of the week.

ABC's week was not too far off from a typical week in the ratings. viewership was not down that much and the network only managed four programs in the top 30, lead by the Bachelor at #21. ABC has a long second half of the season as it is on it's way to a 4th place finish, for the season.

NBC only had three top 30 programs, even though a large majority of it's line up was in originals. THE BLACK LIST was top network dog at #15, while LAW & ORDER: SVU and CHICAGO PD ranked in the 20's

The CW doesn't program on Sundays, so it's ratings didn't take a hit on Super Sunday. In fact, it saw a slight increase in the ratings, over last week's numbers.
