Ratings: Broadcast Finals for January 17, 2014
It was another typical Friday night with SHARK TANK winning the A18-49 demographic, with a 2.1 rating. It is a second straight week for the reality series to post it's top demo ratings of the season. However, the network as a whole, was down a few hundred thousand viewers, compared to last week. THE NEIGHBORS was back to it's old sub-one demo ratings again.
BLUE BLOODS was once again the most watched show of the night, grabbing 12.6 million viewers. CBS grew 1.2 million viewers on the night, compared to the previous week, thanks to the first new episode of the year for UNDERCOVER BOSS. the series won the 8 p.m. hour in both measured categories.
NBC was also up over last week by 1.4 million viewers and 44% in the demo ratings, with much help from DATELINE. The news program not only posted a vast improvement over last week's special program, but elevated the numbers of both GRIMM and DRACULA. Having a stable and dependable lead in will do wonders for a network.
FOX was mostly even from last week, but the two comedies dipped even further down the ratings hole. New sitcom ENLISTED barely drew two million viewers on the night. FOX is flipping the to comedies, beginning this Friday. ENLISTED will take over the 9 p.m. slot, while RAISING HOPE takes the 9:30 slot. The hope is that ENLISTED will get a better sampling without RAISING HOPE scarring viewers away.
