Ratings: Broadcast Finals for January 13, 2014
It was a very competitive between the Big 4 networks. ABC won the night with a 2.2 rating in Adults 18-49, but FOX, CBS and NBC all drew a 2.1 rating. Even the total viewership was tight as just 1.4 million viewers separated #4 from #1.
The most watched show of the night was MIKE & MOLLY, which collected over 9.8 million viewers at 9 p.m. This was a big surprise considering the heavily hyped return of THE BLACK LIST on NBC. MIKE & MOLLY posted a season high in viewership, while THE BLACKLIST posted a series low in both viewers and the A18-49 ratings.
The #1 show in the A18-49 demographic ratings was HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, with a 3.0 score. it was the only program of the night to reach that mark.
CBS also had the distinction of airing the lowest rated show of the night, from the Big 4 networks. The time slot premiere of INTELLIGENCE posted just a measly 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49, no better than DOA drama HOSTAGES had been pulling in the last month it was on the air. Coupled with the 6.2 million viewers that tuned in and the new series saw a lost of nearly 10 million viewers and 50% in the demo ratings, from last week's premiere, on Tuesday night.
THE BACHELOR saw losses from week-to-week, losing about 800,000 viewers and a 1/2 point in the A18-49 ratings. Not a good sign for the usually stable reality series, but the numbers should rise as the season progresses, especially towards the end of the season's run.
