The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #97:
CBS sweeps the week in all reported categories with a solid week of original programs, strong encore airings and, of course, the 56th GRAMMY AWARDS. The annual record industry awards program collected 28.5 million viewers and a 9.9 rating in Adults 18-49, to easily be the #1 program of the week. This is about 30% larger of an audience than what the GOLDEN GLOBES drew, on NBC, two weeks earlier. THE OSCARS should be even bigger, on ABC, next month.
In total, CBS placed 17 programs in the top 30, including all eight repeat programs from Tuesday and Thursday nights.
FOX swept the #2 spot in all the categories without any special programming. A rare thing for FOX this season. AMERICAN IDOL may never again be the dominate force it once was, but in today's TV viewing trends, it is still a strong competitor. The two editions placed in the top 10, drawing 13.4 and 12.4 for Wednesday and Thursday night's, respectively. BONES was the only other FOX program in the top 30, growing and reaching for the same ratings it had on Monday nights. However, new series RAKE did have a bit of a disappointing series debut, losing a large chunk of AMERICAN IDOL's lead in audience.
NBC placed just four programs in the top 30, with the second to last NFL game of the year, the Pro Bowl, taking the #7 spot, with 11.4 million viewers and a 3.8 demo rating. THE BLACKLIST, CHICAGO FIRE and DATELINE all round out the top programs for NBC.
ABC, again, is the #4 network of the week. It did place six shows in the top 30, but it's big gun, MODERN FAMILY could not reach the top 10, placing 12th on the week.
The CW topped last week's ratings as the network aired all original episodes of it's current line up.
