NBC sweeps the week with Playoff NFL football on Saturday night, but it is FOX that has the most watched show of the week.
NBC's doubleheader coverage of the first day of playoff coverage pushed the network to the #1 spot in all five reported categories. The Primetime game. featuring the Saints and Eagles, drew over 34 million viewers, finishing 2nd on the week. The early game brought in 27.6 million viewers for the first few minutes of primetime and the studio show between he two games bridged 32 million viewers.
FOX televised one of the most watched first round NFL playoff games in a couple of decades, getting 41.5 million viewers to watch the 49ers defeat the Packers, in Green Bay. The huge lead in pushed THE SIMPSONS to a top 10 finish, grabbing the 7th spot, with 12 million viewers.
CBS does well with it's regular programming, with two night's in originals. THE BIG BANG THEORY drew 19.2 million viewers. THE MENTALIST was the #1 drama of the week, with 9.9 million viewers.
The CW was up from the previous week, with 1.1 million viewers.
