Ratings Review: SONS OF ANARCHY (Season Six)

SONS OF ANARCHY is, with no question, a hit TV series. It has a very loyal following and generates great ratings for FX. Now after six season, SOA is still stronger than ever.

Drawing nearly six million viewers for the season premiere, it seemed that fans could not wait for the return of the series. It was the best ratings for a SONS OF ANARCHY season premiere. topping season five by 1/2 million viewers. It looked to be on it's way to it's best ever season.

Ratings stalled, slightly, in the middle of the 13 episode run, and then hitting a season low of 4.17 million viewers just before Thanksgiving. After taking the week of Thanksgiving off, the final two episodes of the season brought back viewers. The season finale was the second best rated finale for the series, bested only by the season 4 ender.

For the season, SONS OF ANARCHY averaged 4.6 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in Adults 18-49. There will be a seventh season of SOA, but it may be the last season, if creator Kurt Sutter's implications are correct. But do not worry. there are rumors of a SONS OF ANARCHY prequel series, set in the 1960's.
