Ratings: Broadcast Finals for December 15, 2013

FOX tied NBC in the Adults 18-49 demographic ratings Sunday night thanks to a strong one hour of overrun NFL Football and good performances from the animation block. The overrun game, featuring a stunning comeback win by the Packers over the Cowboys, drew 11.3 million more viewers and 36% more A18-49 viewers than the Sunday Night game with the Bengals and Steelers. I saw the low ratings for SNF a mile away. The Steelers are down this year and the Bengals just do not draw and audience. Put the two teams in the same game and you get the lowest rated SNF game of the season.

Picking up the scraps was CBS easily beating ABC for third place. The Survivor finale was the second most watched episode of the season. Usually the Finale and Reunion are strong draws, but this was one of the weaker rated finales and Reunions shows for the series. I wonder how much longer CBS will continue with a Sunday finale for the series and, instead, keeping the final shows on it's regular night, for all three hours.

ABC was pretty much 4th place all through the night. Only AFV was able to reach 3rd place for it's time slot.
