Primetime Cable Ratings: December 24, 2013
Christmas Eve kicked off one of the great TV traditions in the past 30 years. 24 Hours of A CHRISTMAS STORY. The first two airings of the movie collected a combined 7.3 million viewers. The midnight showing added an additional 2.7 million viewers. For me, since I cut the cord, I was able to keep the traditiona alive with a 24 hour rental of the movie via Amazon Prime. Look for our Ratings Review on Monday of the annual marathon.
Movie ruled the night. In addition two the first two airings of A CHRISTMAS STORY, four more movies are included in the top 10. Only HARD CORE PAWN and MOONSHINERS makes up the number of regular series on the night's chart.
