It was a broadcast networks sweep on Thursday's Nielsen Twitter ratings as SCANDAL rose to the top with over 20 million unique impressions from 3.95 million tweets. SCANDAL had more then double the tweets generated, but THE X FACTOR closes the gap when it comes to unique impressions. Basically, THE X FACTOR has a lot more followers than SCANDAL, so each individual tweet has more weight for the reality series than it does for the drama.Despite ranking 5th in viewership, during the 8 p.m. hour, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is a force in the twitter-verse. It was the #4 program in the Twitter rankings beating such huge shows like THE BIG BANG THEORY and GREY'S ANATOMY.
