Ratings: Broadcast Finals for November 18, 2013
Less than 48 hours after the first night of the series premiere of ALMOST HUMAN aired on FOX, we may be able to call the series done after one season. After attracting 9 million viewers and a 3.1 demo rating on Sunday night, Night #2 of the premiere lost about 2.3 million viewers and 26% of the A18-49 ratings. The ratings are not far off what BONES drew on the night, but ALMOST HUMAN is certain to lose more viewers in the coming weeks. If/when it affects the numbers of SLEEPY HOLLOW is when we will see FOX do a quick reverse of bringing BONES back to Monday Nights.
NBC played around with its sting Monday night line up and lost a chunk of viewership for it. Displacing THE BLACKLIST for the night, THE VOICE took all three hours of primetime. The recap show tied ALMOST HUMAN in the A18-49 ratings and drew just 7.7 million viewers. The two hour new episode of THE VOICE collected 10.8 million viewers and a 3.5 rating in Adults 18-49. The new edition was down 1.3 million viewers and 8% in the demo numbers. NBC still won the night, but it did so with an average of nearly 2 million viewers less and a decrease in the demo ratings of 11%.
DANCING WITH THE STARS took advantage of not facing a new THE VOICE during the 8 p.m. hour and rose 1.3 million viewers and 18% in the A18-49 ratings. Part of this may be part of the ratings correction we saw begin in the middle of last week, but a good chunk is directly related to NBC changing their schedule to benefit ABC. Too bad CASTLE couldn't take advantage of it.
