Ratings: Broadcast Finals for November 15, 2013

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL closed out it's 20th cycle on Friday night, drawing the biggest audience of the season since the September 6 episode. The show brought in 1.3 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up about 20% in both viewership and demographic ratings. The series will return on the CW with another cycle in 2014.
FOX premiered it's new Friday night line up and the curse on the night is still on. Compared to it's monday ratings, BONES lost about 2 million viewers and 60% of its numbers in the A18-49 ratings. It did worse than the former time period occupant, MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, in those demographic ratings. FOX would be smart to move BONES to Tuesdays at 8 p.m. where it would have half a chance to do well and help NEW GIRL boots its numbers.

The RAISING HOPE season premiere was a complete dud. the two episode event averaged about 2.2 million viewers and less than a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49. That really is not much better than what encores of SLEEPY HOLLOW had been drawing the first six weeks of the season. Unfortunately, I expect we will see yet another season of this unpopular sitcom as FOX is within reach of getting the series to syndication level.

On the bright side, CBS swept the night in both viewers (10.1 million) and in the A18-49 ratings (1.6). HAWAII FIVE-O posted its best numbers of the season, with 9.9 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in Adults 18-49. BLUE BLOODS drew its largest audience of the season with just under 11.8 million. This is the level of ratings that CBS should expect and get out of its Friday night line up.

Two struggling series posted more dismal numbers on the night. DRACULA once again drew less than 3 million viewers and under a 1.0 demo rating. NBC may let the series run it's 13 episode course, but DRACULA is quite literally a "Dead Man Walking" show.

THE NEIGHBORS posted it's second worst numbers of the season, collecting under 4 million viewers and an A18-49 rating that is no better than what RAISING HOPE drew for its premiere. The series has another 13 original episodes left for the season, but I do not see how ABC can continue with letting the series continue on the air.
