Ratings: Broadcast Finals for November 6, 2013

ABC turned to a traditional sweeps month programming trick to get viewers to turn to its network, it aired the 47th Annual CMA Awards for the entire three hours. The broadcast pushed ABC to the top of the ratings in both viewers (16.8 million) and A18-49 ratings (4.7). It is up between 20% and 25% from last year's broadcast and is the biggest audience for the awards program, in 4 years.

Getting hit hard by the CMA's was FOX's THE X FACTOR. Just 4.5 million viewers and a 1.5 demo rating, tuned to watch possible future stars over the super stars of music on ABC. This was also the first Wednesday edition of the THE X FACTOR since October 2nd and it was down 3.3 million viewers and 38% in the 18-49 ratings. Between baseball and the CMA's will anyone really remember THE X FACTOR is still on TV?

CBS also felt the impact of the CMA's as both CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI, as each posted season lows in viewership and A18-49 ratings.
