Ratings: Broadcast Finals for November 4, 2013
Originally scheduled to come in at mid-season, MIKE & MOLLY had its season premiere on Monday night and the results are mixed. It was the most watched comedy in the CBS lineup and held on to 100% of its 18-49 lead in, from 2 BROKE GIRLS. But, as the 9 p.m. program, it should be building the demographic audience, not maintaining it. However, the 8:00 to 9:30 line up is looking and performing better, but viewers are switching channels as soon as as the clock hits the bottom of the 9 O'clock hour.
Going in the opposite direction, but still healthy, is THE VOICE. Monday's edition drew 11.6 million viewers and a 3.6 rating in Adults 18-49. That is way down from just last week's numbers. Viewership is down by 1.5 million and the demographic numbers are off by 16%. Not a great way for the #1 signing competition series to start it's November sweeps.
Despite the fall in the ratings by THE VOICE, THE BLACKLIST is keeping its ratings mostly steady. its Live + Same Day ratings have been staying around 10 million viewers and a 3 demo rating, give or take a little.
Also going in the wrong direction is FOX's SLEEPY HOLLOW. The first year series posted is lowest ratings ever, drawing just over 7 million viewers and a just a 2.6 score in the A18-49 ratings. What was looking like a sure hit for FOX is now looking like an also-ran. Perhaps the introduction of ALMOST HUMAN on the night, in two weeks, will help boost the numbers back up for the remainder of its run this season.
