Ratings Review: VEGAS

I personally watched every episode of VEGAS. It was a good show and was my pick as the sleeper hit of the 2012-13 TV season. I cant really say I was off on that prediction. almost nothing, from any network clicked with viewers. But, it was by no means a hit.

I gotta believe that viewers just really are not interested in 60's retro series. Don't forget, MAD MEN is not a ratings hit. It has tremendous buzz, but not a lot of viewers. VEGAS was basically the same way. Viewership just was not there. Not at the level CBS needs it to be.

On Tuesday nights, VEGAS averaged 10.13 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in Adults 18-49. It aired 18 times on that night, including three repeat episodes. For the five Friday night episodes, it averaged just 7.39 million viewers and a dismal 0.9 demo ratings. The move to VEGAS was not kind, but had it been able to hold the numbers between UNDERCOVER BOSS and the drama BLUE BLOODS< it would have gotten a second season.
