Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 29, 2013

NBC and CBS split leadership on Tuesday night, with NBC taking the A18-49 title and CBS grabbing the most viewers.

NBC's THE VOICE was the top rated program in the A18-49 ratings with a 3.5 score. The two hour edition also scored 11.6 million viewers, second to NBC's crime dramas. The competition series was significantly down from last week, losing 1.5 million viewers and 12% in the demo ratings. This is the lowest rated original night for THE VOICE this season and NBC is in danger of losing its Tuesday winning streak to CBS, during the November sweeps.

THE CBS dramas pulled their usual ratings, but PERSON OF INTEREST took a big hit in its numbers. Drawing 12 million viewers and a 1.8 demo ratings, the series was down week-to-week by 1.2 million viewers and 14% in the A18-49 numbers. There could be a strong crossover audience between it and THE VOICE, since NBC ran the reality series from 9 to 11 p.m.

FOX scheduled a special edition of THE X FACTOR on Tuesday, in place of the four comedies. Viewership was up from what the comedy block has been averaging, but the A18-49 ratings is roughly the same as recent weeks.

ABC gave us two hours of repeat programming on the night, with just the two sitcoms airing new episodes. Both comedies hauled in similar ratings as they di the previous week.
