Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 2, 2013
It was a tight battle between FOX, CBS and ABC in the Adult 18-49 ratings as just one tenth of a ratings point separated the three networks. Compared to last week NBC fell 33%, ABC dropped 10%, FOX slipped 4% and CBS rose 4%.
There were tow series premieres on Wednesday, but the results of the two were completely different. On ABC, SUPER FUN NIGHT premiered after MODERN FAMILY and only lost 26% of its lead in. However, it was down one million viewers from last year's THE NEIGHBORS premiere, in the same time slot, but it did maintain the same A18-49 rating. Overall, it was a strong showing for a first episode.
The second series premiere of the night was IRONSIDE on NBC. Posting 6.8 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating, it did bead NASHVILLE in total viewers, but was the worst program of the night in the demo ratings, by the Big 4 networks. Last year in the time slot, CHICAGO FIRE drew 6.6 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49.
CW got some relatively decent mileage from the clip show of ARROW. Compared to recent encores of the series, the special episode rose 600,000 viewers and over 60% in the demo ratings.
SURVIVOR broke the 10 million viewer mark for the first time this season, easily winning the hour for CBS.
