Primetime Cable Ratings: October 20, 2013

AMC and The Dead dominated Sunday night on cable TV. For three hours, more people were watching AMC than any other cable network.

THE WALKING DEAD captured 14 million viewers and registered a 7.1 rating in Adults 18-49. That is a retention rate of 87% from last week's record breaking premiere. The episode was also the #2 program of all TV for the night, with only the NFL game on NBC topping the drama series.

Following THE WALKING DEAD is the fan boy talk/discussion series TALKING DEAD. The 4.9 million viewers and 2.6 demo rating represents a 100% retention in the A18-49 ratings and 95% in total viewers.

Earlier for AMC, was an encore of THE WALKING DEAD at 8 p.m. The repeat episode was the #3 program of the night, drawing just under three million viewers.

The only other new/original program on the chart is Discovery's ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER at number ten.
