Ratings Review: CSI (2012-13)

After 13 seasons, CSI is still one of the more popular series on TV. Yes, gone are the days of being the #1 program on TV, drawing 25-30 million viewers. Now, it is a solid performer in an increasingly competitive time slot, wednesdays at 10 p.m.

Almost all of the 2012-13 season, CSI was the #1 show in its time slot. But as the year changed and spring was approaching, CHICAGO FIRE began to give it some real competition. After getting beat be the freshman series for one week (original vs original), CSI came back to reclaim its spot, on top at 10 p.m.

for the season, CSI averaged 9.54 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49, over its 29 airings, including eight repeat episodes. 2013-14 will not get any easier as NBC is scheduling its remake of IRONSIDE up against it.
