Ratings: Broadcast Finals for September 5, 2013

The NFL is Back!

The kick off game, featuring the Denver Broncos and the defending Super Bowl champions Baltimore Ravens, did not disappoint, drawing over 25 million viewers and a solid 10.3 rating in Adults 18-49. Compared to last year's game, it was up 5% in total viewers and 6% in the A18-49 ratings. In 2012, the game featured the Cowboys vs Giants, but because of Obama speaking at the Democratic National Convention, on Thursday night, the Kickoff game was moved to Wednesday night.

The presence of NFL Football did not seem to damper the ratings on most shows. BIG BROTHER drew 7.2 million viewers and a 2.5 demo rating. It is the best ratings numbers for Thursday night since July 29th.

With football back, the 2013 TV season up and going. THE X-FACTOR starts things off on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Sept. 12. The following week More FOX shows premiere, along with SURVIVOR, on CBS.
