Top 20 Scripted Cable Programs: July 29 - Aug 4, 2013

AMC is on top as the first of the last eight episode of BREAKING BAD was the most watched program, on cable, last week. It drew 5.9 million viewers and a 2.9 rating in Adults 18-49, an all-time best for the series.

Following BREAKING BAD, on AMC, on Sunday night was the new series LOW WINTER SUN. Although it did not make the top 20, it did collect 2.5 million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating. Compared to the average AMC draw, this is good for the LOW WINTER SUN, but losing half of its delivered audience is not a good sign.

Also not making the Top 20, but doing well, was the third season premiere of HELL ON WHELLS, on Saturday night. The western was 2.5 million viewers and a 0.5 demo rating. It was the most watched cable program of Saturday night.

LONGMIRE continues to grow its audience as it is up another 10% this week. The modern western series is quietly become one of the more popular series on Cable TV.
