Social TV Activity Chart: August 28, 2013
Four programs collected over 100,000 posts via social media on Wednesday. Two from cable and two from broadcast TV.
On the broadcast side of the chart, BIG BROTHER edged out AMERICA'S GOT TALENT for the top spot by less than four thousand messages. TALENT may have been active in social media, but if current ratings trends continue, expect the talent show to finish third on the night, in the A18-49 ratings, behind BIG BROTHER and MASTERCHEF.
the gap between first and second was a lot tighter on the cable chart. ESPN coverage of the US Tennis Open beat DUCK DYNASTY by less than 1000 posts. But, tennis coverage was televised for many hours, while DD has just a small viewing window. Expect DUCK DYNASTY to blow ESPN out of the water once final ratings are released this evening.
Trendrr.TV tracks all major networks and shows in real-time. Total activity is determined by Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue, and Viggle, and activity. On air activity reflects the window three hours before and after a show airs and daily activity reflects a twenty four hour period from 6am to 6am.
