Social TV Activity Chart: August 18, 2013

NBCSN's early game coverage of the English Premiere League dominates Sunday's social TV activity with well over 621,000 social messages. An additional 3433,000 social posts were collected for the second game of the EPL coverage. The soccer game was also a launching pad for the rebranding of the network from NBC Sports Network to NBCSN. This is the fourth branding for the network in the past decade, as it was the Outdoor Life Channel, before switching to Versus, after a Comcast acquisition. When NBCU cam aboard the conglomerate, Versus became NBC SPORTS NETWORK.

Cable was the preferred social hangout for TV fans. Five programs grabbed activity over 100k, while the top broadcast program (BIG BROTHER) could only Manage just under 80,000.




Trendrr.TV tracks all major networks and shows in real-time. Total activity is determined by Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue, and Viggle, and activity. On air activity reflects the window three hours before and after a show airs and daily activity reflects a twenty four hour period from 6am to 6am.
