Ratings: Broadcast Finals for August 29, 2013

The final week of NFL Preseason football hit the networks hard as all 32 teams played on Thursday night, with massive local preemptions cutting into primetime. No program or network was spared.

ABC did the best among the networks, producing two of the thre most watched programs of the night, including the two hour season/series finale of MOTIVE. The freshman summer drama pulled in 4.7 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49. That is down from last week, but considering the the night, it is not half bad.

BIG BROTHER saw deep cuts in viewership, losing over 1.2 million viewers and nearly 20% in the demo ratings. Unfortunately, it will not get any easier next week as the NFL kicks off its regular season, on NBC, next Thursday night.

FOX was the only network to show gains in viewership, from the previous week, but the numbers were pretty low to begin with.

Thursday Night Network Averages:
ABC - 4.6 million viewers, 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49
CBS - 4.0 million viewers, 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49
CW - 0.6 million viewers, 0.2 rating in Adults 18-49
FOX - 2.1 million viewers, 0.7 rating in Adults 18-49
