Ratings: Broadcast Finals for August 1, 2013
CBS easily takes Thursday night with the one-two punch of the 8 p.m. comedies and BIG BROTHER.
THE BIG BANG THEORY and TWO AND A HALF MEN have been one of the stronger summer programs, despite being nothing but repeat episodes. MEN may be benefiting by being sandwiched between the two stronger shows, but its retention rate our of THEPRY has improved over recent weeks.
BIG BROTHER is one again the top program of the night, drawing 7.1 million viewers and a strong 2.5 rating in Adults 18-49. That is close to the same ratings the program pulled in the previous week.
The CW aired the YOUNG HOLLYWOOD AWARDS for the two hour block, but ratings were not that much better over current repeat occupants of Thursday nights. Just 840,00 viewers and 0.3 demo rating is near equal to what THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST drew last week.
WIPEOUT pulled in its best numbers since May 30th, collecting 4.5 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating. It has been a tough season 6 for the series, but in comparison to other original summer series, it is still there with the average ratings. It low production cost should keep it on the ABC summer schedule for at least another year.

CW - 0.8 million viewers, 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49

NBC - 4.0 million viewers, 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49
