With the return of NFL Football, even if it is just the preseason, NBC nearly swept the week in all categories. The Peacock network topped all the demographic ratings and was just edged out by CBS in total viewers and households.
The NFL HALL OF FAME GAME, on sunday night drew 10.1 million viewers (#3) and a a strong 3.8 rating in Adults 18-49 (#1). This along with two editions of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT allowed NBC to take three of the top four programs of the viewers chart.
CBS' UNDER THE DOME was the most watched program with 11.4 million viewers and was the #2 program of the week in the A18-49 ratings. The surprise summer hit is doing very well for CBS which has a solid platform to promote its new fall series. The network posted six programs in the top 10 and a total of 18 in the top 30.
ABC had just one top 10 program, THE BACHELORETTE at #7. Add SECRET MILLIONAIRE, ROOKIE BLUE, MOTIVE and WIPEOUT to the top 30 for the network.
FOX had a pretty awful week. With HELL'S KITCHEN done for the summer and MASTERCHEF down to just one new episode a week, the network notched its lowest rated week of the summer. Just one top 30 program (MASTERCHEFF - #17) and just two shows in the top 50 (SYTYCD - #35).
