TV News Roundup: Week of July 1, 2013

With the 4th of July holiday falling on Thursday, the week of TV news was slow. Here are the few stories that came out this week.

MONDAY:
  • Jenna Elfman to join new sitcom:
    Jenna Elfman will join the cast of the new sitcom GOWING UP FISHER.
  • Game show THE CHASE gets a second season:
    The GSN Game show has been renewed for a second season, before its series premiere, on August 6th.
  • THE BIBLE to NBC:
    NBC has reached an agreement with Mark Burnett on the follow up to the hit History miniseries THE BIBLE, titled A.D. BEYOND THE BIBLE.
TUESDAY:
  • FALLING SKIES to get another season:
    The hit science fiction series has been renewed for a fourth season, by TNT.
WEDNESDAY:
  • TV Everywhere for USA:
    The cable network is the first of the Comcast/NBC Universal properties to launch the availability of watching USA programming on other devices, 24/7.
THURSDAY:
  • Happy 4th of July!:
    The USA is now 237 years old!
