It was a light week in cable sports programming. Just 10 events made the top 100 cable programs for the week, but the #1 show on cable was a sports program.

Game #7 of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers drew a whopping 11.6 million viewers and a dominate 5.1 rating in Adults 18-49. In comparison, the first two games of the NBA Finals drew 14.6 million viewers and a 5.8 demo rating, on ABC, later this same week. TNT had a very strong run with its NBA coverage and the Eastern Conference Finals exclusive.

NBC Sports Network is doing well with the NHL Playoffs, drawing between 2-3 million viewers per game. The network will get two games (#2 and #3) for the upcoming Stanley Cup Finals, which will air on Saturday, June 15 and Monday, June 17. NBC will broadcast the remaining games. it should be a competitive, high rated finals as Chicago and Boston (TV markets #3 and #7, respectively) will battle it out for the championship
