Ratings Review: HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (Season Eight)

The 2012-13 TV season proved to be a difficult season for all of the CBS Monday comedies by having both THE VOICE and DANCING WITH THE STARS going up against them. For the most part, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER did a little better than the other comedies, but ratings were still down.

For the 2012-13 season, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER averaged 7.3 million viewers and a 2.7 demo rating for the 32 airings in its time slot, of which 23 were original episodes.

The series will be back for a 9th and final season. Is it a candidate for being one of the all-time classic sitcoms?
