Ratings Review: 90210 (Season Five)

Even by CW standards, 90210 had a very bad, final year. But, at least it got five years in the can. I would really like to see how this series made any money for the network. Before the start of the 2012-13 season, Ad Age reported that 90210 was getting just over $42,000 per commercial spot. I doubt the series met its minimum for those advertisers and had to have had make goods to keep them happy.

Of the 22 original 90210 episodes, just three, yes THREE, pulled in a million or more viewers. For the season the series averaged just 800,000 viewers and a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49.

In about 10 years, or so, people will forget about this series, but will continue to know and remember the original BEVERLY HILLS 90210.
