Ratings: Broadcast Finals for June 26, 2013
FOX and CBS battle it out for the Wednesday crown, but it is Gordon Ramsey that wins the night.
The BIG BROTHER season premiere was the most watched program of the night, pulling in 6.5 million viewers. It also recorded a strong summer A18-49 rating of 2.2. Compared to the 2012 season premiere, which was on Thursday, July 12 at 9pm (out of THE BIG BANG THEORY), it was down 9% in total viewers and 15% in the A18-49 ratings. But, compared to the first Wednesday, 8 p.m. airing (July 18), last night was up 13% in viewership and 10% (2.0) in the demo ratings.
MASTERCHEF was not far off from sweeping the night, with the 9 p.m. episode, which hauled in 6.2 million viewers and a 2.5 demo rating, the nights best in the category. The double shot of the cooking competition series led fox to win the night in the A18-49 ratings and edge out CBS for tops in viewership.
The series finale of the mid-season sitcom HOW TO LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS pulled in just over three million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating. There is a small minority of TV fans "trying" to get someone to bring the series back for a second season. Based on the ratings it posted over its entire run, HTLWYP did not earn a second season.
