Social TV Activity Chart for May 26, 2013

Sports in Indianapolis took the top spots in both the cable and broadcast charts on Sunday, May 26th.

Starting things off was the 97th running of the Indianapolis 500, which saw fan favorite, Tony Kanaan win his first 500 race in his 15 year IndyCar career. The record setting race, for the fastest 500 ever, drew over 156,000 social messages, topping the night time NASCAR race by 8,000 posts.

Late Sunday night, Indianapolis took the stage again as the Pacers hosted the Heat for game #2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Despite taking an early and commanding lead in the game, by the Heat, the TNT coverage posted over 372,000 social media posts. That was more than double the IFC marathon of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.
