Ratings: Broadcast Finals for May 2, 2013
+The Big Bang Theory is the nights top program in both total viewers (16.3 million) and in the demo ratings (4.9). It is up week-to-week by 1.24 million viewers and 9% in the A18-49 ratings. Impressive when you consider just about everything is getting hit hard with lower ratings, the last couple of weeks. The Bob Newhart guest appearance was a good move for the sweeps period.
+Grey's Anatomy was the night's #3 show in the A18-49 demographic, pulling in a 3.0 rating. It is an old show, mostly showing its age, but it still have a little steam to get to the top of its time period. If ABC was smart.... They would announce at the up-fronts that this is the LAST season for the veteran medical drama, letting it go out on top. No need to have the series continue life with low ratings, like ER did its last few years.
Only two weeks to go until +American Idol wraps up its season. As soon as the last not is sung, I am sure we will hear how each of the current judges will not return next season to pursue other career choices. It has been a disaster year for the aging talent show and if things don't change dramatically for next season, it will be its last season.
