Top 20 Scripted Cable Programs for Week of 03/25/13

If you were home on Sunday night, more than likely you were watching cable TV and scripted programming. The top five programs all aired on Sunday night, with THE WALKING DEAD taking two of those spots.

During the 9 p.m. hour, you had THE WALKING DEAD, THE BIBLE and GAME OF THRONES all airing and it accounts for 28.5 million viewers and a combined A18-49 rating of 11.8. Pretty impressive, especially when you compare to the same hour on broadcast TV. The Big 4 Networks had a combined number of 23.1 million viewers and a total 6.6 demo rating. And that is three programs for cable vs four for broadcast TV.

PSYCH celebrated its 100th episode this past week and it drew a solid 2.9 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating. Reaching the 100 episode mark, as a cable series, is remarkable when you consider most seasons usually only have 13-17 episodes, and not the usual 22-24 episodes you get for a hit broadcast TV series.
