Ratings: Broadcast Finals for April 4, 2013

Back to their regular Thursday line up, CBS dominates the night, lead by THE BIG BANG THEORY and its 17.2 million viewers and 5.2 rating in Adults 18-49. The #1 comedy rebounded 1.3 million viewers and 8% in the demo from its last original episode, three weeks earlier.

NBC premiered the new drama HANNIBAL which drew 4.4 million viewers and a 1.6 demo rating. If that is good or bad, would depend on your perspective. For NBC, it is the best performance by an original episode in the time slot, bettering both ROCK CENTER and DO NO HARM. Outside of 30 Rock, the numbers are still really bad. However, if the ratings don't drop, I could see NBC keeping the thriller for a second season.

FOX's attempt to pump its two remaining comedies didn't pan out like they had hoped. Both NEW GIRL and THE MINDY PROJECT did no better on Thursday than they do on Tuesdays. Of course, AMERICAN IDOL is not the lead in it once was.

For the Night:
CBS - 13.5 million viewers, 3.1 rating in Adults 18-49
FOX - 7.9 million viewers, 2.3 rating in Adults 18-49
ABC - 6.9 million viewers, 2.2 rating in Adults 18-49
NBC - 3.3 million viewers, 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49
CW - 0.9 million viewers, 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49
