Ratings: Broadcast Finals for April 2, 2013
THE NEW NORMAL aired its final two episodes for the season/ever and it is a mixed results in the ratings. The 9 p.m. episode drew 4.5 million viewers and a 1.7 demo rating. This is the series best numbers since early December. But remember, it was the lead out program from THE VOICE, so the numbers will be higher than normal, but it still lost 68% of that audience. At 9:30 p.m., the ratings dropped closer to normal, below 4 million viewers.
THE NEW NORMAL as spent most of the winter as one of the lowest rated programs on the Big 4 networks, excluding Saturdays. Even last week when the Tuesday comedies got their first spring pump from THE VOICE, THE NEW NORMAL could only muster a little over 3 million viewers. It should be a goner come May Up Fronts, but with NBC, anything is possible.
SPLASH is continues to take a deep dive in the ratings. After three weeks, the C-List celbreality program has lost 3.3 million viewers and 46% in the demo ratings, from the series premiere. By the time the series wraps up, it will be drawing as many viewers as THE TASTE.
On the bright side of the ratings, BODY OF PROOF wins the 10 p.m. hour in both viewers and A18-49 ratings, beating the CBS series GOLDEN BOY.
