The CW has something to boast about as we enter the weekend. +The Vampire Diaries Finished third in the demo ratings, for the 8:00 p.m. hour, beating both +Zero Hour on ABC and the +NBC comedies COMMUNITY and PARKS & REC. TVD earned a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49, while ABC and NBC averaged just a 1.1 rating in the category. TVD will be +The CW Television Network top show in the young demographic ratings.
+American Idol was just/not strong enough to give FOX a rare Thursday night win in both measured categories. The two hour edition drew 13.66 million viewers and a 3.9 demo rating. That is ____just a hair better than the 13.64 million viewers CBS produced, but was a easier victory in the A18-49 ratings.
More bad ratings news for NBC in the 9 p.m. hour as neither program was able to gather an audience over 3 million viewers. +1600 Penn will be giving THE NEW NORMAL a run for its money as the lowest rated original program, from the Big 4 networks, with its 1.0 demo rating and just 2.3 million viewers.
- The encore of +Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is up about a 1/2 million viewers from last week.
- ZERO HOUR dropped 16% in viewers and 21% in the demo, from last week's premiere.
- With coverage of a Latin music awards program, UNIVISION actually finished 3rd in the network ratings with a 2.5 rating in the A18-49 demographic.
