Ratings: Broadcast Finals for February 7, 2013
COMMUNITY picked up where 30 ROCK left off... low ratings at 8:00 p.m.The COMMUNITY Season Premiere drew just under 4 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49. It drew about the same number of viewers as a repeat of SHARK TANK, but is did manage to be the non-original in the demo ratings by over a 1/2 point. My guess is that COMMUNITY will get renewed, but ONLY for the sake of syndication. Once it reaches that level, it is gone.
It only took 2 weeks for THE BIG BANG THEORY to dominate AMERICAN IDOL. The surging comedy drew 19 million viewers and a very impressive 6.2 demo rating. Yes, that is the Live+SD ratings. That is almost 6 million more viewers and a 50% over the AMERICAN IDOL demo numbers. Even TWO AND A HALF MEN beat AI in the ratings. If ratings continue like this, could this be the last year for AMERICAN IDOL?
ELEMENTARY did not get any boost from the post-Super Bowl airing. The numbers are basically flat from the previous week. Of course, ELEMENTARY couldn't help that it ended up having an 11:10 p.m. start time on Sunday and most of the east and central time zones went right to bed after the game.
SCANDAL continues to impress and is the dominate show at 10:00pm.
DO NO HARM may have aired its last episode. Just over 2 million viewers last night, down 22% from week one.
GLEE continues to drop over half of the audience delivered by AMERICAN IDOL.
