Complete Nielsen Ratings: Week of Jan. 28, 2013

The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #102:

Needless to say, CBS easily won the week, led by their presentation of SUPER BOWL XLVII. The annual NFL championship game drew the 3rd largest audience in history with 108.7 million viewers. Had the "blackout" not happen at a point in the game that almost everyone thought the game was all but over, CBS may have kept the streak alive and broke the all-time viewing record. This was the first time since 2005 that the Super Bowl did not increase numbers from the year before.

CBS' success didn't stop there, They collected the top 6 programs, eight of the top 10 and 15 of the top 20. Every original CBS program, except for Saturday night's, were included in the top 20. Only the two AMERICAN IDOL telecasts made the top 10, and BONES, THE FOLLOWING and GREY'S ANATOMY are the only additional non-CBS programs in the top 20. NBC failed to push a series above 24th.

  • #1 Drama - NCIS
  • #1 NEW Drama - ELEMENTARY (Sun)
  • #1 Comedy - THE BIG BANG THEORY
