Ratings Review: THE MOB DOCTOR

What do you do when your veteran medical drama tanks in the ratings its whole last year? you cancel it and replace it with... another medical drama. After a low rated last season of HOUSE, FOX had the bright idea to fill the time slot with THE MOB DOCTOR. Not the smartest move ever.

The series was doomed from the start. Premiering a week earlier than its competition, the ratings were low right off the bat. After three airing and falling below 3.5 million viewers and just a 1.0 demo rating, you would thing FOX would pull the series for something else, or encores of another series that people actually watch. of coures, they didn't. Not the smartest thing ever.

Instead of being one of the first new series cancelled, FOX bit the bullet and aired all 13 episodes that they ordered. I guess FOX figured that the fall was going bad enough, why waste something decent on a sinking ship.
