Complete Nielsen Ratings: Week of 11/05/12
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #86:
THE BIG BANG THEORY was the #1 not football program of the week. Of course, it helped that NCIS was preempted by the election coverage on Tuesday night, but the16.7 million viewers was an all-time high for the comedy. BIG BANG also topped the demo charts with a 5.1 rating, behind NFL Football. It is nice to see comedy back on top of the ratings, even if it is just for one week.
Unfortunately, that was about the only good news for comedies. Both TWO AND A HALF MEN (#5) and MODERN FAMILY (#7) were in the top 10, but after that the next comedy on the chart was 2 BROKE GIRLS at #26.
NBC did dominate the network election coverage on Tuesday night. It placed in the top 10 in both viewership (#9) and the demo ratings (#6). In comparison, CBS coverage placed outside the top 25 in both categories. The FOX coverage is just a second thought as most FOX viewers tuned in FOX NEWS CHANNEL instead.
