Ratings Review: THE NEXT

Unlike OH SIT!, THE NEXT did not fair well in the summer. its ratings were no better, and sometime worse, than those of the encores. Since it did run after OH SIT!, it generally dropped about 30% of the lead in. The series never clicked. It never generated a buzz that would attract viewers, despite being a perfect type of program for the CW demographics.

I doubt we will see THE NEXT again, but I would not rule out another competition program coming from the CW, as the need to find the next reality series to replace AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.
