Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 26, 2012

NBC gave us the pilot of the now scrapped MUNSTERS remake and it didn't do half bad... for a Friday Night. MOCKINGBIRD LANE pulled in 5.5 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49. That is more than double the audiences NBC last week with a repeat of GRIMM at 8:00 p.m.. Although the ratings were not "over the top", the effect was felt at 9:00 p.m.

GRIMM drew 6.1 million viewers and an A18-49 rating of 2.0. That is and increase of 20% in both viewers and the demo, and is the highest rated Friday episode of the season. This shows that NBC may need an inexpensive companion series for 8:00 p.m. to help pump up GRIMM at 9:00 p.m.

It may have a full season order and The CW is forced to air it, but NIKITA is truly dead in the ratings on Friday nights.Already starting low, the action series is down 15% in viewers and 33% in the demo ratings. I would advise The CW to give NIKITA a couple of special airings after ARROW on Wednesdays to perhaps help bring an audience to Fridays.

  1. I’m happy to see Mockingbird Lane done better than expected, and Grimm's just as amazing. I watched both shows on primetime and I definitely want more episodes of Mockingbird Lane. I work at night so I never get to see what’s going on with primetime, which always left a mess of shows recording. I would tie up all my DVRs trying to record primetime and the family would be stuck watching recordings. This all came to an end when my coworker at DISH told me about the Hopper’s PrimeTime Anytime feature. I can get the four major networks recorded on one TV and it lets the family continue to watch their own shows without interruption. No more timer or recording conflicts which let me and the family enjoy TV.
