Seven days in to the 17 dyas of coverage and NBC is demolishing the competition. It may not make a "profit" on these games, but they should set up well to turn a profit when the games are in Brazil in 2016.

Competition Coverage Averages:
33.78 million viewers and a10.9 demo rating each night.
Most watched night of competition: Night: Tuesday, July 31st
Least watched night of competition: Saturday, July 28th
Traditionally, ratings drop off for the second week of competition with the exit of Gymnastics and swimming events. So, let see if the American viewing public will stick around for Track & Field.
