Ratings Review: SUBURGATORY

It really is not surprising that SUBURGATORY did well last season since it had a great time slot, between hits THE MIDDLE and MODERN FAMILY. It seems to be good fit with THE MIDDLE as the ratings retention was minimal, or at times, increased from the lead in.

The first half of the season, SUBURGATORY was doing very well. Hitting viewer levels of between 8 to 9.5 million and demo ratings at around a 3.0. But once 2012 came around, the numbers began to fall.

Those 9 million viewer levels became 8 million in January, then 7 million for February and 6 million by the end of its freshmen season.This downward trend may have been in play when it lost its 8:30 time slot to the god-awful THE NEIGHBORS. But, a new slot after MODERN FAMILY doesn't sick.
